Course Description

Aviation English Language Proficiency Training

Aviation English Language Proficiency (AELP) is an essential requirement, with a minimum Level 4 proficiency needed to obtain Private Pilot (PPL), Commercial Pilot (CPL), or Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) licenses. This level of proficiency ensures license holders can fully utilise their flying privileges. Vcraft Flying Training Academy is certified by DGCA to provide AELP Training, and successful candidates will receive an AELP Training Completion Certificate. This certificate complies with DGCA CAR Section 7 Series G Part III/V guidelines. For comprehensive information, please consult the DGCA website.

Program Overview

The AELP Training Program spans 30 hours, conducted over 10 days with daily sessions lasting 3 hours each. Training will be delivered online via Google Meet, with the meeting link provided to each candidate’s submitted WhatsApp number. Each batch requires a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 students to commence.

Syllabus Outline

This 30-hour course covers the six skill descriptors defined by ICAO: Pronunciation, Fluency, Structure, Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Interaction. The curriculum follows CAR guidelines to address both Aviation English terminology and plain English to ensure comprehensive language proficiency.

Course Eligibility

  • Education: Candidates must have passed English as a second language in Class 10 or Class 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old.
  • License: For Student Pilot License (SPL) holders, completion of DGCA written exams in Air Navigation, Aviation Meteorology, Air Regulations, and Technical General is required.
